Same here.
We always make sure to shut it off when we stop for fuel, then relite after pulling away from the pumps.

On here too. I think the biggest fear is if you blow a tire and cuts the gas line leading to a fire. With a tire pressure monitoring I feel a little better. Yes we turn it off when fueling.

Always travel with it on, never turn it off until we park it at the farm. Almost never refuel when towing, only once onour last 3-month trip and that wasat a truck stop.

Modern propane regulators have an automatic shutoff in the event of excessive propane flow, so there is little risk of a gas line break. The biggest risk is the ignitor sparking gasoline vapors from one of the fuel pumps while refueling.

When camping if there is AC I run on AC instead of GAS. The gas flame is small so I do not think much gas is used.
Not sure if gas provides better cooling.

The amount of propane used by the refrigerator is probably too small to measure. We just finished a 3-month trip with 6,700 miles towing with refer on gas plus all the meals cooked on the stove and only used 1/2 of one 30# tank.
