I seem to have the same problem everywhere I go. When I put the antenna up and do a search for local stations I get from 15-25 on the 40" TV in the LR. However, I always get more stations on the 24" TV in the bedroom and for the life of me I cannot understand why. I am in WI now and can get CBS out of Madison in the BR but not the LR. Same antenna, so I'm perplexed. Anyone have this problem or know of a solution for this. Sure doesn't seem right to me, but then again, what is right.

Thanks,
Jim

Have to a bad connection on that 40" tv. Check to make sure all connections are tight on the tv or the splitter. Or could be a defective tv. The antenna is good or the reception would be bad on both. Also make sure the tv is set to tv and not cable.

Hey Jim, can you try switching the small tv to the living room connection? That would check the tv's and the connections.
We are on the way to Fundy Park today, weather is great!
Cheers Peter

Possibly one TV tuner more sensitive than the other, thus receiving more stations??

On my old one I pulled the plate off the wall where the coax outlet was. Every connection in there was loose, especially on the splitter. After tightening them up the reception greatly improved.

Had same problem. Forget to switch from cable to antenna. Cleared it up. And great pictures. For the life of me I couldn't tell you why the bedroom got away reception and more stations. My switch is behind the LR TV

everyone's suggestions are good ones. Especially the one about switching the TVs. If that's not possible (or not easy) try getting a coax extension and run the TV signal to one TV to the other with coax all over the floor if you have to. This will tell you if the signal at one cable is different from the other. What has not been mentioned is that the TV signal from the antenna gets split somewhere to feed a second TV. The first TV gets a better signal and the second TV goes thru a splitter where the TV signal is cut down to almost half. If your splitter indicates a 3db loss, 3db in signal power is half the power. If your splitter is one input and two outputs, both outputs should be the same lower power but, depending on the length of the cable run, you may also loose power and, on digital signals, a very small loss of power can make a whole lot of difference in what the TV sees.

All 4way splitters have a 7 db loss all 3 way splitters have 2 legs that have a 7 db loss while the 3rd leg has a 3.5 db loss, and all 2 ways have a 3.5 db loss. Howvever this db drop is meaningless unless you have a meter that can measure thr frequencies within your cable providers bandwidth. A splitter should not cut the db strength in half or you have a bad splitter. I would get a small accessible tv from your house and plug it in and compare it to what you see on your tv in the camper.

I am sorry let me also mention ingress is a major problem for a digital signal. A loose connection will let off air channels interfere with your digital signal causing a black or blue screen.

</span>
In power terms, 3db is HALF the power so a 3db loss in power is half. If you are speaking of dbv then, 6 db loss is half.</span>
</span>
Depends on how the loss is worded.</span>
