Yes, the weather liars are forecasting a "hard" freeze for San Antonio this evening. I did the unthinkable and winterized the Cruiser. This is the first time. The past two winters all I did was blow out the lines and add anti-freeze to the P traps and toilet bowls. That was my plan for today, however, I had three gallons of anti-freeze so I just pumped it through the lines. It only took 1-1/2 gallons to do the job. As I had previously posted I used Velcroand a drawer pull to make the hot water heater and water pump compartments readily accessible. It took Karen and I about 15 minutes to pump the pink stuff through the lines to include the outside shower. More pink into the P traps and toilet bowls. I feel as though I am back living in Philly...NOT!

Let winter begin....both days of it here in San Antonio.

I took my portable air tank and blew the water out of mine tonight, works great. Never messed with my P-traps last year when we hit down in the 20s and everything was good. Drained the hot water heater and emptied my low point drain, we have several trips planed over the winter so antifreeze is out of the question.

Our 213 camped nights for 2011 will probably stand. Neither of us has any desire to take it out until about February. I was going to take it to Fredericksburg next Wednesday for the 70th Pearl Harbor anniversary ceremony but decided just to go for the day.
