Thanks to all, in regards to the concern in are well being in this situation.
We have made major, positive progress with CR's.
Dealing directly with a VP, who has been in contact with us almost daily.

Since this is a sensitive personal issue between Cr's and my family, what I can share with you is that Crossroads and Lippert are working together and have identified the cause of our collaspe and are sending reps from each Company to assess the total damage and are working towards a suitable solution to our situation.

Both companies have inspected their inventory and are taking measures to insurethat this was an isolated incident.

Sincerely, Jim

Great news Jim. It took them longer then it should have to respond but at least you are getting some movement towards a resolution to make you a happy owner. Keep us informed as much as you can.

Jim, glad that things are working out...as a new owner I have been following this closely. I have determined that the more clearly and respectfully you handle your request...the more clearly and respectfully your request is handled.

Thanks again Jim,
Jim

I can understand the desire not to air the entire episode blow by blow. We're hoping that both companies do their best to make sureyou are satisfied with the end result.

Jim:
I truly, truly hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction. Plus I hope no one has brow beat you into submission or threatened you about talking on the forum about the problem, and last but not least---I hope you have talked with an attorney.
Best of wishes your way.

Lloyd-

Your comment about an attorney makes me think of a Denver lawyer whose TV ad says: "If your insurance company tells you you don't need to talk to an attorney....you need to talk to an attorney".

I am usually totally against using the legal system, but in this case it would seem to me that anything less than a full refund or a brand new replacement RV would warrant contacting an attorney. He shouldn't have to live with a damaged RV because of a quality problem.

It sounds like CR is trying to make him happy, so hopefully it is resolved without having to resort to any action outside of CR.

Good to hear that they are listening to you and trying to resolve the issue - the true test - how soon you get your rig back and ready to use.

You like many of us do not live close to the factory so we are at the mercy of the local RV dealer to address design or construction related issues. The CW dealer had our unit for 4 out of 8 months of the camping season last year - all related to construction and design related issues.

Jim -- I agree with Lloyd, if nothing else you should retain an attorney just to make sure all parties involved live up to giving you the high quality product you were promised when you bought your Rushmore!!!

SORRY!!!!!!!!!, for all of the HULLABALOO!!! there Old Farmer.

But when My wife or I, or possibly someone elsecould have been injured or Killed by this rig collasping at any moment in the past 6 weeks, I believed it was nessessary to alert our fellow campers of a possible danger.

To answer the first pertinent part of your question, there has been some progress in this matter.
As I stated before, reps from CR, & Lippert will arrive tomorrow to figure out why the landing gear collasped.

When, a final determination of the collapse has been determined by the experts, I will post same.

No need to get your tail in the ringer over my post. You are the one that started the thread, and for a very good reason. I'm sure everyone was thankful for the alert. With that said, after numerous posts coming one after the other, then all of a sudden nothing, myself and some others have wondered what happened to you and what progress was being made on the situation.
I just hope it all turns out in your best interests and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way.
