Vacuum of Choice

Wife's question: Our RV is coming with a little Dyson Cordless Vacuum and I'm wondering if you guys found this to be adequate on your carpets, or if we should bring on board our Oreck XL?

Brenda and I have an upright Dirt Devil that does everything we've asked. It is 3 years old, light, and priced reasonable.

That Dyson should be plenty. We have one at home and it works great for small quick runs in between major vacuuming. We use a rechargeable Electrolux in the RV that works fine, but definitely not as powerful as the Dyson.

Guess it depends on the wife
In our case the wife likes all options available to her !

We have a built in vacuum, but we also got the Dyson as an add on...

the wife uses both !
even though I have 'suggested' we not carry two and
that either one will do what the other does quite well

but I personally HATE the built in that jerks the hose out of my hand at the far reaches of the rv since I don't 'practice' vacuuming enough!

We have a Shark Rotator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum that we totally love. Both of us vacuum with it and find it amazing that it takes everything out of the carpet. Great on floors and furniture also.

We also have the Shark Steam Mop that does a fantastic job on the vinyl/linoleum.

We have the Dyson in our larger RV. It does an excellent job. Also, the long shaft is detachable at both ends so that the beater head can fit directly into the motor assembly so that it is easier to clean steps, furniture, and in tight spaces.
