So heres the questions...do any of you that have vent covers leave the vents in the open position? does it ever rain inside the camper with the covers on?...seems like it would if the wind is just right...jus wondering...

I still close them if it rains hard, but they work great. I dont leave them open when sitting at home or driving, found a lot of dirt, bugs etc get under them as they are not sealed to the roof.

we have the Max air vent covers. the only time they are closed is when we are hauling the TT. if its sitting still they are open. no issues with water coming in that I have seen.

Close ours part way if we are not going to be at trailer for a few days. Never had an issue with rain coming in.

Cowboy, I don't think you have to worry about rain getting in as much as maybe dust down in your country.
The purpose of those things is to be able to have your vents open and not get rain coming in.

I've had them on every camper I've had, and I've never had an issue with water getting in. I keep my camper in a shed when not in use and leave the vents open all the time to allow some air circulation through it.

Put them on our camper from camping world. We leave the vents open all the time and rain has never gotten in, and we have had over 10in of rain in the last month.

Ihave them on, because the sun hates those factory covers, And I have had to replqace all three. They just rot and will fly off going down the high way. I went with a smoke colored to help filter the uv's

We have Max Air covers on all of ours as well. Have never had problems with the new trailer or previous trailer with rain or anything coming in. The old trailer the vents would get opened sometime in May and never get closed until Sept or Oct.
With the new Zinger we tend to use the camper quite a bit more and they do get closed occasionally during cool nights or hot days since we have AC now. But the vents stay open even when driving down the road with no problems.
