wallpaper has sharp bumps

i am developing sharp bumps in the middle of my sunset trail wall. has anyone seen this??? also seems to be red substance.

I have those too. not sure what they are. I'm guessing wall studs of some sort.

If you have horizontal aluminum siding, then like other types of 'lap siding', each strip is attached along its top edge to the wood substrate with staples. They are stapled in between the studs. If the staples are too long or air pressure was too high, then the tips of the staples could penetrate thru the interior paneling as well and create the bumps you feel. And since the staples are not galvanized, humidity inside the trailer will cause the tips to rust.

i will post some pictures when i can. The red seems to be like a red/orange waxy substance. actually, i thought it was a spider ah but not. i will check further but hope its not some mold problem. off to see serviceman tomorrow

The waxy substance could be wallpaper adhesive mixing with the rust on the tip of the staple as Larry suggested.

Went to service at the dealer, non crossroads dealer and they think they located the source of the bumps. They think water was getting in around the awning hardware and cleaned up that area. they also have a call into cr to find out what we can do to repair the damages to the inside panel.

Not sure how a water leak would cause sharp bumps to appear on the inside paneling? Swelling, discoloration, warping, yeah. But bumps? Interior panels are attached to the aluminum studs with construction adhesive.

I had a couple on a seam - seemed like they were staples - hit them with a hammer to make them go in.

It is a sign of water intrusion, had the same problem on my last trailer. The only way to remove the bumps is to replace the whole panel. It is the glue from the wallpaper reacting to the water is what causes the bumps. Not a cheap fix and crossroads will not cover repairs due to water intrusion.Edited by: Seabeecamper
