Have 2013 rushmore water heater works good on electric try t use LP lights burns for a few seconds and then shuts off tried several times same thing every time after shuts off get a red light inside by switch any ideas on what the problem is

Have you checked to make sure propane is on and also that it's not empty. If all is good there and you've had the propane off for a while. Try lighting the stove burners and let them burn a minuite then retry w/heater. This will clear any air in the lines. If all else fails you might have to check to make sure mud daubers or other critters haven't nested in the burn tube. That also will make it cut off.

Also might need to check the flame sensor to be sure it is not sooted up or accidentally got bent somehow that would knock it out of alignment with the flame. There are some good youtube videos on troubleshooting as well...
