Water Order of March

Hey guys/gals. We are picking up the RV this weekend for our first trip so are in the process now of getting all necessary accessories. My question is, in what order do you guys hook up your water accessories? I am assuming:

RV, 90deg adapter, filter, pressure regulator, then hose to city?

That is alot of add-ons and I just want to make sure it is hooked up correctly. Thanks in advance.

That's what I use. The only thing is I put my filter on the hydrant/spigot rather than at the camper. This keeps it from banging the wall during the breeze.

I also ditched my regulator after a while. I have read about how important they are, but mine plugged up and slowed the flow to a trickle so I pitched it.

You hook up to a water system like I have at the house (145PSI) and connectors come loose in the trailer and you will wish you had one. Buy a good regulator and not one of the $10 WM specials and you won't have a problem.

Pressure regulators do go bad eventually. We are on our third one in 15 years. They are the brass ones, not the cheap plastic ones.
We use a short piece of hose, like the ones that come with some of the filters, at the spigot, then the reg attached directly to the filter, then whatever hose is necessary to the rig. Instead of a 90* fitting at the trailer, we use a faucet with its own shut off. Gives the advantage of the 90* fitting with the option of drawing water outside.
We also use quick disconnects on all hoses. Much quicker.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Everything is trickling in through the mail now. Now to find some quality quick disconnects. Any advice?

I had quick connects but ditched them because it appeared to adversely affect water pressure.

Make sure you get the brass ones acceptable for drinking water. Camco makes one and its under $7 on amazon right now.

The Camco one is $6.88 at WM but if you go to the garden dept the exact same thing in a different package is $4.73.

I bought mine from WM in the garden section.
I also bought extras so they would all be the same if one needed replacing.
BTW: I also bought them in late fall. They were on sale for ~ half the regular price.
