Water Pump Problem

We have a 2012 Zinger 23FB.
Artis Model # PDS1RV25 Water Pump

Water pump and furnace are both located in a small compartment under the sofa.

We have had a problem with the water pump turning off when the furnace is running. When you turn the furnace off and the pump has cooled off it will start to work again.
There is information on the pump stating it is thermally protected to a 100 degree Celsius max.
The pump feels very hot when pressurized but not running.
Should the pump feel hot when it is not pumping the water.?
Has anybody come across this situation?
Thanks for your comments.

No , It should not feel hot if it is not pumping . and watch out for the artis pump..mine sprung a major leak at 3 weeks old and had it replaced with a sure-flo.brand.
Just for fun , lift up the sofa next time the furnace is on to cool area and see if pump works. maybe you need some venting there?

Make sure the furnace is properly sealed and not leaking hot air into the compartment. If not running the pump should be cool. Just in case make sure the Carbon Monoxide detector is working in case the furnace is leaking on the burner side.
