I came on this forum around this time 2 yrs ago as we were looking at purchasing crossroads trailer. This whole forum was loaded with the good about crossroads. Fast forward 2 yrs later and its the exact opposite. What happened?
I have had issues with my trailer, alot more then I would like. But so far crossroads has been good at doing there best to resolve, some things havent gone smooth but still haven't turned there back.
What is concerning me is my warranty is ending and I just dont feel these trailers are built for the long haul. We spent over $30,000 on trailer to hopefully get a good 5-8 yrs out of it with a decent resale at the end. The more I read on here and the more I experience first hand it kind of scares me. Are others with the newer generation crossroads trailers thinking the same?

I think you answered your own question.

It isn't just Crossroads, I think it is the RV industry as a whole. They are going for increased volume and maximized profit at the cost of quality. From what I can tell, there isn't a very good QC program at any of the RV manufacturers any more. It isn't that the units are total junk, but the attention to detail just isn't there anymore. There are a lot of things that have to be worked out in the first year or so of ownership that you shouldn't have to deal with, and wouldn't have had to deal with on RVs built 5 years ago.

That sounds like a good idea, but I think CR Management has forgot about us on this forum. Ole Tom was all over it for a couple weeks and now how long has it been since not only Tom has been on here, but anyone from CR.

I would to because about 2 years ago is when the new management took over. That might explain a lot.

I know what you mean. We bought our TT almost 2 1/2 yrs ago. a large player in that decision came from reading some of the above and beyond customer service stories I read on here. Now it is mostly negativity and a few die hard crossroads owners. while I have been fortunate to only have a few issues, crossroads made them right but this appeared to be done more easily in the first year than the second year. Now I sit here and watch the apparent quality of their trailers decline and I watch customer service get thrown out the window with more regularity. As a result I begin to wonder If crossroads will suffer the same fate as carriage. We have been looking at 5ers and crossroads really isn't in the running at this point. That said, there was one model we were interested in but I couldn't find any info on weights, length etc on line. Tried emailing customer service to ask and couldn't even get a response. That pulled them back of the table and the Sabre is looking mighty fine right now.Edited by: anaro
