My neighbor was washing his FW recently, and mentioned that he had to park his FW on wood since his driveway was made of gravel...and didn't I have mine on wood??...Guess I'll park mine on wood too, but what's yours parked on and have you ever heard of this before?...

Mine is on concrete in my shed.I know what some say but my truck is also on concrete and there isn't a problem. Before thr concrete it was parked on gravel and no problems with that either. One camper I had was parked in the yare on the grass and it was fine.I really think the only place that hurts a camper is being parked to long.Maybe 3 or 4 months in the winter is ok but keep the tires turning in the summer when you can.

I keep mine parked on a concrete floor in my RV garage when I'm not camping in it. But when I am camping it is usually parked on dirt or gravel and that is for about 5-6 months each year.

I have read somewhere about putting a waterproof barrier under your tires even when on concrete to protect them from moisture. But I have never done that and I have gotten pretty good life out of most RV tires.

Mine is on wood. Smallgravelembeds itself into the tires when stored do to the heat here. I stored for 5 days on small gravel and when I pulled out of storage there was rocksembedded into the tire. It took about 2 wks for theindentions to go away.

mine is parked on the driveway, I had a slab poured for it to sit on, but I also have wood planks under the tires, my unit has not moved in 14 months, and it's fine, I do have the tires and A/C's all covered....I also cover the side fridge vents and the hot water heater with plastic, keeps the spiders out...

I had a concrete slab poured and a carport constructed for our unit. I do put the tires on a row of Lynx levelers however, so air can circulate under the tires. I then cover the tires for UV protection. Seems to do a good job as I have had no dry rot.

Mine is on gravel, well the high side is. Since there is a slight slope, I use wood leveling blocks on the low side. So, really mine is 50/50. Guess which side had tire problems this summer? The side that sits on the wood blocks. The rear tire lost air pressure and the front tire tread expanded enough to rub the fender skirt. But on close inspection all four were falling apart, so this probably doesn't mean much.

Beside the house with 30 amp, on gravel but under a "car shelter" type cover. It keeps sun, snow, rain, etc off the roof but allows use as a "extra room" when needed.
