I lube mine with Slide out lube from Walmart. It seems to help it from squeaking when opening the slides. The arms are under the slide and I spray where the tubes slide into each other.
+1 on the slide lube from WallyWorld. I also use it on both of the house garage door mechanisms. It goes on wet and dries so it doesnt attract dirt and gunk.
My dealer told me it was fine to use just dont overdo it.

Follow your manual. Mine says not to use anything on them, just to keep them clean with soap and water. There are different types of slide mechanisms, so follow the manufacturer directions found in the manual or on line.

I've heard baby power works well on the rubber seals. You can put some in an old sock and rub it on. Keeps them from getting stuck and doesn't attract dirt. It's on my list of things to do this spring.
As I mentioned earlier in the post, the factory techs recommended Pledge furniture polish, I use the dollar store imitation, for the slide seals & all rubber seals on my 5er & been using it 5 years without any issues. Spray it on a rag, lift the slide seal & wipe up/down a couple times. Also much less messy than baby powder.

In my case, that would be the same list I started last winter to do last spring. Still working on that one.
