Campground wifi is not for everyone to stream netflix...only good for checking emails ,etc...

IMO it would be less expensive to look at your phone carrier service plan and get a display adapter for your phone. If the weather is bad I’ll connect my phone to my camper tv and stream Netflix.

Plug a $35 Chromecast or similar into your tv and you don't need wires to your phone. If you don't have the old unlimited plan you will probably have to watch your megabytes. I'm not sure if any of the current "unlimited plans" are truly unlimited. A data throttle can ruin your binge watching as much as a data cutoff.

Be aware, carriers with unlimited plans will throttle you back when you use streaming services.

I've got an ancient unlimited Verizon account that I retain by buying my own phones and not changing anything about it. I have used over a hundred MB a month without throttling when traveling. I used it as my only internet for several years at home too. I could pay a little less a month but would have the same limited service as most current users and if I accepted the veterans discount I would have to change my plan and lose the true unlimited service. I expect I will lose it when 5G becomes universal but until then, it's too handy to give up. (Can you hear Verizon gnashing its figurative teeth, lol?)

If you are grandfathered in using only 100MB, your not hitting the threshold to be throttled back. Streaming an HD movie burns 2-3GB (2000-3000MB) an hour. The OP is talking about streaming content.

Then it must have been 100 GB. I know it always freaked out the Verizon reps when I used to try to find a cheaper plan. We would watch Netflix or PBS for three or four hours a night plus the usual web browsing. My plan is over 20 years old so no comparison with the new plans.

My wife and I have an old unlimited sprint contract. While they do throttle, it is sufficient for streaming movies. We also have a sprint magic box, which when paired to the right tower will boost LTE signal.
What is a good way to improve campground wifi reception for smartphones and Netflix. There are a lot of products and price ranges with mixed reviews.
Reception is usually not the problem it is the speed the campground is capable of delivering and the time of day that you are using the wifi. Although it's been getting better as campgrounds upgrade their wifi systems, currently there are very few that are robust enough to stream video of any kind.
