Winter's coming
Now that summer is coming to an end at least up here in Alberta how many of you guys get your tires off the ground after winterizing your rigs
I understand that will make the tires last longer even cheap ones right lol

Have never done that with modern day tires. That was important years ago with Bias-ply tires but since they improved the steel belted tires I don't think it is necessary. Some cover tires from the sun/snow and if the tires would sit in mud or standing water, then I might consider raising them.

I bought a horse stall rubber mat at Tractor supply and cut it for the wheels to sit on when in storage. I also cover the tires.

Which part? Winter is coming or placing something under the tires?
I had planned on putting lumber under mine this year, but I really like the stall mat idea.
IMHO whether the new rubber compounds will be harmed or not it cost very little to do it, so why not.

I use small plastic cutting boards under my tires when parked for extended periods. Keeps the asphalt or concrete from sucking the moisture out of the tires

Yes, regrettably, winter is coming. Watched it snow about an inch here at the house this morning. Stuck for a while but gone now. Squirrels are sure busy today!

I leave my ac on all year...ocassionally Lindy gets a "power surge" [hot flash] and needs to cool down.

I also have one of those mats from Tractor Supply that I cut in half. The mats also give me a target to aim for when I back my fifth wheel into the shelter.
