I've got some minor water damage to some of the wood veneer at the bottom of my entertainment center. The pressed wood/paper has swollen up a bit and the veneer is peeling. Does anyone know where I can get replacement wood and/or veneer to match. My thought was to get veneer then put it over real wood to go at the bottom to make it a bit more durable.
Can you get some thin baseboard and stain it to match? Or 1/8 " luan board and stain and varnish it?

Hate to suggest it, but swelling and bubbling could be a sign of water damage! Might check for a leak...
or if just regular wear and tear, our first attempt at wood scratches, etc is to use something like a 'wood stain stick' to blend the color back in... and believe it or not, in most cases, the blemishes disappear
good luck... https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb...od+stain+stick
Thanks for the suggestion...fortunately we know where the damage came from and have corrected the source of the problem. Now I just need to fix the wood / veneer. It really not to bad but it bother me that the "wood" buldges a couple of millimeters at the joints.
