We purchased our Crossroads Zinger in August from a dealer and was told that it is a 2013 model. All of the paperwork that was done at the dealers says that it is a 2013. However, we just received the title from the state of Illinois and it says that it is a 2012 model. The sticker on the door of the camper says that it was manufactured in May 2012. So, what year is it?<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none">
Well I would guess by everything you have it is a 2013 model. However, DMV or the state in your case only cares about the year it was built. That being 2012. I think it is the same with cars it maybe a 2013 but bought in 2012.

Well, I have looked at de-coding the VIN and the 10th letter in the the number is a D which from what I have read that means it is a 2013. My concern is that if and when we ever want to sell it, we would be selling a 2012 by the way the title reads. I am going to DMV this week and see if I can get it changed.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none">
I would agree that it is a 2013. Car manufacturers change their years over around the fall, but most rv manufacturers change over in the spring--in some cases I think as early as march/april. My unit was built in Sept 2010 and is considered a 2011. My wifes suv was built in October 2011 but considered a 2012. I'm not sure how DMV works in the states, but the MTO here in Ontario consider mine to be a 2011 and dw's car a 2012 (same as vin).
