Hello everyone

After having our camper for 2 years now and not having any major problem, I'm happy with our 2014 Sunset Trail 250RB. With that said I'm looking forward to hearing comments from other RV'ers on any issues that may occur.

Thanks and Hello,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Our 250RB will be a year old at the end of April. We have been very satisfied with it. Like most units, we have had some problems along the way and the dealer was extremely efficient at making the repairs. Our main issues were the electrical distribution panel where a wire became unhooked, faulty propane gas regulator, a bad toilet seal, faulty cable tv connector on the rear of the TT. The only design issue I have is the TV mounting bracket. They should have put an arm on it so it extends out.

The only modification we are making is to install a slide topper. My wife loved the layout and the storage. I like the outside kitchen and the foam mattress. All in all a very nice trailer, filled with amenities, at a reasonable price.

We had problems with the LED lighting on the Awning. Was covered under warranty. I agree with the installation of the TV. Shouldn't be that difficult to install and having to take to people. My wife also likes the layout. Outdoor kitchen is awesome. No need to go back and forth in the camper or dig in a cooler for drinks. I bought a BBQ mat for the grill. Will save cleaning and life of the grill. Bought them for the home grill also. They clean very easily.

Welcome to the forum. I've also had my 2014 Sunset Trail for a little over 2 years. Like you, I've had no major problems either. The only workmanship issue I have found was the auxiliary input connectors for the stereo weren't connected.

we had our 2015 sunset trail since January 31, 2016. we purchased it new, got it home and the inside fridge didnt work. Camping World is just now getting Norco to approve a new fridge. Glad it wasnt in the middle of summer. and the awning lights: had some bulbs blowed but National RV took care of getting replacement for us. we had to get camping world to install them.

I forgot to mention that We are still having trouble with trailer wiring. when towing the camper my truck display shows "camper connected" then it shows "check trailer wiring". every time i use the electric jack it blows the inline fuse, i have the keep 30 amp fuses on hand. camping world is trouble shooting this problem right now.

Was Camping World able to figure out the problem?

No they didn't , they keep saying it's the truck. They also charged me for trouble shooting. So I'm still having the same issue.

I would remove the inline fuse, that keeps blowing, and see if my truck still says "check trailer wiring". I don't have a good reason, but it would eliminate the jack as the cause. I was just thinking a short in the jack itself may cause the truck to sense a problem?

You could jump the fuse with a paperclip or piece of wiring instead of taking it out to see if that's the problem.

I was thinking take the fuse out because it would disconnect the jack from the system. With the jack disconnected, you could tell if it is the problem. Jumping the fuse could cause damage if there is in fact a short.

I misunderstood, I thought you meant take the fuse completely out and hardwire.

i took my truck back to the dealership, they claim that the wiring harness from the camper isn't making up to the truck like it should. dealership said that I needed to change the harness because Chevrolet doesn't recommend that name brand harness.
