Hello everyone. Just wanted to make an introduction. I joined the forums a few weeks ago but have been poking around on here for months and just wanted to thank everyone in helping us make our decision to pick up our new Sunset Trail 240BH. After a relatively quick PDI (it was pouring down rain!!) we got it all hooked up and home on Friday and after it dried out we actually stayed in it last night for our first test run!! Our 2 year old son took to it like a fish to water. he had a blast hanging out in his bunk bed and watching some curious george on the TV, and other than a few minor things with the tv (video cable plugged in wrong spot behind the tv) and speakers (had to do some rewiring this morning because the outside speakers had no power) everything else appears to be working just fine. Looking forward to taking it out for real in the spring when it warms up a bit. I grew up in a camping family and we are excited to raise our son up the same way!!

I think little kids look at an RV as being an over sized fort! Wait till he gets older and discovers all the joys of camping. You are making memories here!

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum!
My daughter lived playing house in ours. She was 3 yrs old when we bought our old zinger. She thought the door to the outside from her bunk bed was the coolest thing ever.... be careful though, she managed to lock everybody out of the bathroom. Dh had to disassemble the bathroom door handle. At 8 yrs old DD still loves the trailer. She misses her bunk in the zinger but lives the fire place and tv in the fiver.

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum! Good to hear that you jumped right in and fixed the minor issues you had with the camper.

Thanks for the welcome! In all of my camper research over the past few years it seems to be a pretty common thing to have some minor issues with things no matter what brand you purchase. As long as its nothing major I would much rather just turn a wrench/screwdriver and fix a problem myself and know that its done right vs. taking it back to the dealer to let it sit for a month and hope that it gets fixed. Luckily this forum is full of information and people that are eager to help
