We had some assembly issues... The window shades were installed too high and wouldn't reach to the bottom of the windows. The bathroom sink faucet was cut too far from the sink ( not sure what they will do about it yet). Cabinet didn't latch fully.

Crossroads pre-agreed to fix and it's with the dealer now for that and a slide topper and stabilizer add ons. Nothing too crazy.

Just a random thought while enjoying a cold one.

Did you ever have to do a PDI on a new vehicle??? Meaning car or truck.

Something is wrong with this picture.

Actually, it may not be called a PDI but for every vehicle I have bought someone explained how most everything worked. Going from a foreign sports car to a 4x4 SUV is a significant change. My dealer explained how everything worked, where certain things were located and a short course on 4x4 usage.

The wife works for a motor cycle importer and the PDI is done twice, first when the bike is delivered to the dealer to make sure every thing is correct, if not it gets corrected. The second time is when is sold and delivered to buyer.

BTW, I just noticed on the pics that MIK posted that you have a door on the driver's side to the bathroom. That is very clever and would be great for access to hookups, etc.

Experience I have had, and my dad working in the industry as a service tech, it is unfortunate, but other than hooking a battery up and doing the propane test, us the buyer are doing way more to review and inspect then the dealer ever does.

I went thru our 2nd Zinger thoroughly before signing deal and at PDI.

Congrats on new unit!!

When you bought your house did you or did you not do a walk through ?? After the walk through did your contractor have a punch list of things you found that needed some attention?? Same as a PDI

Yes, the door on the hookup side was questionable at first. Then one of my teens mentioned the convenience of access when we are set up to that side of a fellow camper. And a friend commented on the safety aspect of a door on the other side in case of fire or emergency. And it means more room for setup in the front. Then there's the ongoing bet of who will be the first to be seated when that second door is opened to the outside. We bought it anyway!

Hey MIK,

The 2nd door to the bathroom was definitely a selling point for us.

"Then there's the ongoing bet of who will be the first to be seated when that second door is opened to the outside." ... I chuckle, because we have a trip to Mt. Rushmore planned with 9 people total staying in our trailer (we have 3 kids, another family with 3 kids of their own going with us).

I suspect we're going to know more about each other after that trip then we ever thought possible.

Mike.... Ours didn't come with an inside lock. If yours didn't....... Fixit did, I'd have a pin handy for when you're locked out.

9 people? You're brave!

Well I'll be.. I just checked and ours also does not have an inside lock. In hind sight that's one of those things we probably should have noticed, not that it would have affected our decision to purchase it. But now what else didn't I notice??

Yes.. 9 people.. should be interesting. We're bringing a tent with us as well in case anyone feels like they need out.

I might just swap out the doorknob for a bathroom lock.....

Bring yourself a cot for the tent. You might want out yourself! Actually for a short time it could be fun all piled in

I'm reserving an air mattress and the bed of my truck just in case.
