Hello All,
We are a family of 4 who is new to the camping world! We will be picking up our new Sunset Trail 29BH camper this weekend. Anything special we should ask or pay attention to during the walk through?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

-Jess/Jay

Make sure EVERYTHING works. Do NOT take dealer's word for it...SHOW me.
Take lots of notes.
Somewhere in here there is a copy of the PDI [Pre DElivery Inspection]...use it.

Jess and Jay...welcome aboard. Great forum. As said, make sure everything works including making sure the ac cools and the HW htr heats.

Thanks Stan and Terri, and Walt and Lindy,
I am going to read through the owners manual today, and will certainly take notes tomorrow! I've also read a suggestion of taping the walk through, so I may do that too.
We'll post pictures soon!

make sure they show you how to manually work the slide. Our very first camper (not a CR) the first time out...all set up and level....tried to deploy slide and it did not work. Called the dealer and they said bring it in but higly unlikely the motor had burned up. We didnt know how to deploy and they had to walk us though it. We took camper in the following week and YES the brand new motor on the slide was shot.

Take notes: how the awning works, gray & black dumps. etc.

Jess/Jay -- if you have a cam-corder take it with you and tape the walk around. Much easier to rewind than try to remember what they told you Just remember to have a unused tape in it, not one that was already filmed on

OH and welcome to the forum and best of luck with your new camper
