Wink Yea!!!! We've finally picked our new camper!

After a year of looking and researching, we've finally made the decision on a 2017 Crossroads Sunset Trail 271RL! Now we just need to negotiate the deal. I've been all over this site the past 2 days reading all the comments and you guys helped me to make my decision. It's me and my husband (early 60's) and our 2 yorkie mixes. We live near Charlotte and our plan is to use it for mountain and beach trips for the near future. We are hoping to retire in 2 years and take off for wherever the wind takes us. We have 3 grown kids and a 10 year old granddaughter, but mostly it will just be us travelling. So excited!

Welcome aboard!
Not meaning to throw a wet towel on your trailer, but, if you are planning to travel in it and use it for extended stays------I didn't see a pantry.

We have been doing some looking this year also. I can't believe how many units there is on the market that don't have a pantry. That's a game changer for us.

Congratulations on the new trailer and welcome to the forum. Just a friendly suggestion when you go in to negotiate have a list of options or extras such as Maxx air vent covers or slide out topper. Have them discount the extras or include them in the deal. Also if you are considering an extended warranty or service plan, that can be negotiated also. Good luck an enjoy your new rv.

That might be true. I was just trying to point out something to the op that is important for us. Just in case they missed it.
When we go, it's usually for and extended amount of time. We don't eat out in restaurants, and we don't like having to run to a grocery store every other day.

Yea, I know what you mean Lloyd, our main concern was access to the refrigerator and the bathroom with the slides closed.

Congratulations on choosing your camper! We are new RVers and also have the Sunset Trail 271RL, which we purchased in January of this year. My wife an I have only taken 4 trips so far (14 nights total) so far but we are very pleased with it. No problems with our unit, the only repair (which I did myself) was re-caulking the shower. It's very comfortable.

The lack of a pantry has not been a problem for us. We've used the storage cabinets under the TV for this purpose, as well as the cabinets next to the entry.

I am with you Lloyd. We like to cook (EAT)
And we like to go were there are no Wal-Mart's or big box stores. That means you carry plenty and buy local!..😂
