We are going to be visiting my sister who lives in Dublin, CA later this

year. It looks like camping accommodations are far and few between

around there. In case you don't know where Dublin is it's about 25 miles

south and east of Oakland.
Any recommendations for that area?

Depends on what you are wanting. DeValle in Livermore is nice, pretty rustic but heavily used especially on weekends. It has water/sewer but no electric, and if your rig is longer than 32' it can be tight (had my Kingston KF30 there and I was the biggest one there).

There is also Diablo State Park, it cannot take anythingmore than 25', it is very nice but is also very popular, again weekends are the worst. No hookups are here.

I looked at Woodalls and here are a couple others (I have never been to these):

Contra Costa County Fair RV Camp, In Antioch- hookups

Sunny Acres Mobile Home Park and RV Park - Concord (the closest)

Morehead Park - Tracy - Furthest

I would go to campgroundreviews.com and see how these are rated.

How about the Alameda County Fairgrounds? It sounds interesting but...

Strange that Woodalls did not pull this one up. Never stayed there, but I know the fairgorunds, they are in Pleasanton near Livermore so it is central. The reviews say it is not much more than a parking lot.

If all you need is a place to sleep then it should work out for you.

Stayed at Coyote Valley RV Park listed at Morgan Hill last September while visiting relatives in Berkeley. A bit of a drive, a little less for you, but this park is probably in our top 5 all-time.
