www.shadyoakscabinsandrv.com located just west of I-45 in fairfield tx. we had resv. and came in friday night after hourswith our 'reserved' spot taken. no big deal, one of the girls that works here was actually outside, so we stopped and talked to her. she was unsure as to why our spot was taken. but directed us to another spot and said that spot would be fine.
saturday morning we went to the office to pay for our stay and encountered the owner. we explained to her what we encountered friday night. well, she looked at the schedule and told us that we would have to
move, because the spot we were in (remember, we were told to park there) was specifically asked for by someone else.
i told the owner, if i have to unhook and move, i'm moving to another park. we all know whats involved in setting up and to have to move in less than 12hrs... not happening!
well, she said we could stay where we were and even cut the rate by $10 a night. all in all it worked out.
now, about the park. it is more of a long term/construction worker park. Laundry hanging on lines in the trees, non-running vehicles, dog kennels etc.
believe me, im not that prudent or better than ANY of these people, you just know what i'm talking about.
