In 2010 we stayed at Ozark Country CG in Branson. It's Passport America park so the rate was good. They had discount tickets available for the shows. The park was conveniently located.

Check out Dogwood Canyon Nature Preserve. It was established by the founder of Bass Pro Shops and is a nice way to spend a day. It is located about 30 miles or so south of Branson. The Big Cedar Lodge is worth checking out as a place to stay if you don't want to take your camper. We drove through the grounds of it while we were there and it is an awesome looking place. It is another Bass Pro Shops installation. Since Bass Pro Shops is located nearby in Springfield, MO, there is a large BPS presence in the area. If you like shopping and dining out, the Branson Landing area in downtown Branson is really nice. The wife and I spent our anniversary there last summer, but we didn't pull the camper, so I can't give any advice on campgrounds. To be honest, Branson wouldn't be high on my list of places to return. Nothing wrong with it, but it's a pretty good way from home and I'm just not a big fan of dinner shows and such.

Yeah, Table Rock Lake was nice. Another thing I forgot to mention was the Branson Railroad. They have a vintage 1940s era passenger train restored and they do a tour that takes about 2 hours (best I remember). We enjoyed that. I guess we just look like parents, because we left our kids at home and we ended up with a kid each in our laps on that train, lol. Hope you guys have a good trip.

Back from Branson

Back from Branson and had a great time, We hit the Branson Show Boat and dinner cruise and Table Rock CG and the dam, Bass Pro had a Bass contest going on and watch one the one of the weigh ins. Boy they are some the curvest roads I been on and dont even think about puting a tire on the shoulder there are none. Thanks for the advice.

We went to Branson a couple years ago and stayed at the KOA for a week. Pretty nice campground and pretty good location. We got a lot of use out of the pool because it was very warm the week we were there. Glad you guys enjoyed your trip.
