Hither Hills is located at the "End" of Long Island in Montauk and is right on the ocean. Town is only a few miles away and the campsites are generous

I've never been to Shagwon but will be sure to check it out next time I'm out there. Thanks for the tip!

no problem. its just before the light house on the left. go down east lake road and pass the little air port its on the right side. you drive your truck and trailerv out on the beach. the water is real calm because its protected by a rock jetty. we go every year for the forth of july week.

Do you need reservations? My parents had a summer place in Lazy Point not far from Montauk and I don't recall camping there other than at Hither Hills SP.
