Getting 5 guys piled into the Class C for a trip from Maine to Heinz Stadium to see the Steelers (not my team, but a friends - makes a fun trip though). We are thinking late this month or early November.
I have never traveled to that area, but I have driven to Arizona and other locations so I have the traveling part down. A quick Google search didn't help much with area's to stay near the stadium. I see a couple SP's but it looks like they may be closed. It appears that the Heinz Stadium parking doesn't allow RV's. So some questions for those folks in the area or who traveled there:
- Is there parking in the area that allows an RV and tailgating?
- Are there any campgrounds just outside the city limits open at that time of year?
- Any specific routes from my NE friends who've traveled from this area to the Pittsburg area?
- General advice for the area?
