Hi all...

I'd like to know if any of you have stayed at either one of these campgrounds because I've found very few reviews and would like to know what you thoughts were before I book my trip... The campgrounds in question are:

Blackhawk Campground, Milton, WI OR Lakeland Camping Resort, Milton, WI

Thank you for your help!! ;-)

These campgrounds are full of seasonals. Have you check-out Hidden Valley? HV also have seasonals, but the place is much nicer. If you looking for some place just to rest your head and no golf carts running around check out Viking Village in Stoughton, which is about 15 mins north of Milton. _popupControl();

Thank you for your reply...

We LOVE Hidden Valley...just wanted to try something new. I'm not really bothered by the seasonals since we're actually looking for a permanent site somewhere now that the kids are getting older.

Thanks for the recommendation of Viking Village...We just might check them out!!

We do a parent's weekend at Hidden Valley every year in Oct. and have a great time Trick -n- Drinking with the rest of the campground. I just get nervous with all the golf carts driving around along with kids running around. Will be there again this year around the middle weekend in Oct.

Viking Village has seasonal sites, but the campground itself is very very low keyed. No golf carts, a pool that's not heated, small park for the kids and only about 60 sites total. We go there along with about 12 other families and have a great time as the nightly sites back to a very large field so the kids can fly kites, play catch, etc. The facility is older, but well maintained. Also they are really proud of their mini golf course..

Another place to check out if your looking for a seasonal site is River Bend in Watertown Wi.

Hi Jim,

I heard with my friend about this campground. As he told me Blackhawk Campground is a spacious destination resort with 480 spaces on 106 acres located in the heart of Wisconsin.

There are plenty of associated outdoor recreational activities like fishing, swimming and playing golf etc. Turtle Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot in Blackhawk Campground. Therefore it's totally impossible to get bored.

Thank you both!! We went ahead and booked Lakeland Resort for the second weekend of July so I'll let ya know how it was. ;-) I'm going to rent a pontoon and the family will do some fishing on the lake as well.

We'll have to give River Bend a look...thanks!!

PS...We love Hidden Valley's Halloween weekend!! We always have a blast!!

Kimberlie,

If you there the weekend of Oct 15th stop by for shot or 2 or 3 or 4... We usually put out a few different types along with Bailey's and Hot Chocolate. We'll be on one of the sites between 185 and 190. Just look for a white Ford pick-up and the Cruiser.
