Northern Idaho?

It's time!!



Leaving for our second extended trip of the year to Northern Idaho on Sept. 7th. Plan on being out for a month or so and would appreciate suggestions on where to camp and what to see. Plan on heading up from Boise to the Canadian border and points in between, then back through Salmon, Stanley, Sun Valley and home. Any info is much appreciated.

We've always liked the Sandpoint area. The last time we were there we stayed at the Island View Resort on Lake Pend Oreille, www.sandpoint.com/go/islandview/. It wasn't a high end place but pretty quiet and nice. The deer there are like puppy dogs and they are everywhere.
