OMG; first trip of the summer planned for Monday

So due to our daughter getting married on May 12th and us saving money; we haven’t been camping at all this year. Usually we’ve camped at least three times by now and one of our annual spring trips is at Hatteras NC for two weeks (fishing and relaxing) which we had to pass up to save for the wedding. With that all behind us we’re finally leaving for five days to GRAYSON Highlands in Virginia on Monday. Man, am I ready to nap in a hammock.

First trip was a bust. Rain and fog set in with no quick end in sight. So we decided to call it and came home today (Wednesday). Went to put the dining room slide in and nothing worked with the switch. Cranked it in manually. Got home checked fuses and pulled out the switch; checked to make sure it was plugged in securely. It was, so I held down the out on the switch and pulled on the wires going into the cabinet and slide worked. Let off tension on the wires and it would stop working. So, I have a bad connection that I have to trace and find the problem but at least I’m home. Plugged in my EMS-PT50C Progressive surge protector in my RV box and it was showing E3- High Voltage and reading 255. Tried several times and same thing so I tried it in my Honda generator and same code and reading. Contacted Progressive Tech support and explained codes and readings and tech guy said it sound like an internal problem with the surge protector. So filled a warranty clam with Progressive. I’m at home and dry so all is good.
