Has anyone camped at the cg at Stone Mtn.? I have relatives that live in Stone Mtn and this would be really close to visit them. Thanks for any info good or bad.
I have... we go every October. It is a great campground. You will have a hard time believing you are in the city once you get there. Make sure you make time to spend a day at the park and catch the laser show.
Most of the sites are the same. They are all shady. The lakefront are hard to get, usually always taken. No tv hookups at the sites, but who wants to watch tv when you could hike up the mountain or do something fun like that.

I am currently at the camp ground. Pulling out in an hour. I am ata premium spot by the pool. these sites are level with decks and grills. We just walked the other areas. They are nice but a bit tight in spots. Even though they cost a bit more I would stay by the pool (Trail F). There is a shuttle that takes you the the venues at the park. I live in the area and would suggest the camp ground. I would also suggest making reservations.
