Head'n out West!

My new bride and I this past week have moved from the tidewater Va. area back to my home town of Louisville Ky after being gone for over twenty years.
We are leaving next week for a month long trip in our SunSet Trail Reserve 25RB. "The plan" is to see a number of national monuments and national parks going as far as glacier national park. Not too sure about every stop but we'll go until the money runs out!

We just got back from seeing several national parks. If you talk to others on the road, I suggest you ask where they've been or where they came from. We received some great suggestions for spots to see. If you end up in Cody Wy, I suggest you visit the Buffallo Bill Museum. It's huge and very well put together. You can easily spend two days there, we did. I could go on, but I'm sure others will have more suggestions. Take your time and Enjoy!!

Thanks Steve for your suggestions! I have been to the Bill Cody museum and you are right it is awesome. My wife has never been out west and I can't wait for her to see how terrific it really is. I was there in 2012 on a cross country motorcycle trip to Montana. I've never been to Glacier NP hope to get there this time.

Try and make every effort to see Glazier. That's the crown jewel of the Rockies in my opinion.

Beautiful area. You must see Sylvan Lake when you are near Mt Rushmore. Very pretty little lake and a nice hike all the way around the lake.

Left that area yesterday, stayed in Custer, beeeautiful area. Bring a rain coat, it rained every afternoon once with pea sized hail, but only lasted less than an hour.

Update on our trip. Went to Yellowstone, stayed at Norris for seven nights. Had enough time to see everything we wanted around the loop. From there we headed to Salt Lake City and west to see the Bonneville Flats. Races were going on but just snapped a few pictures and kept on moving. 93 towards Vegas. Stayed the night in the desert about a 100 miles outside of town at a primitive rest stop, the moon was so bright it was like a spot light!! Staying at Oasis RV resort for a week, man it's something else. Shore beats boon docking at Walmart. Have tried to upload pictures for a couple weeks with not much luck because of lack of service. will try again. Going to Hoover Dam today.
