Trip Planned Today, Leaving Tomorrow

We live JUST inside Governor Haley's advice to evacuate. We don't expect hurricane, but do expect heavy rains and flooding. The heck with this! Loaded up on gas, groceries, propane, and libations, we'll head NW to a "not much" campground where we were LUCKY to get Water and Electric only. (They do have a nice bathhouse, so we'll use their facilities.) Hopefully, we'll ride out the storm, have a few days of quiet and cooking and dogs, and return to find the home OK. We do love South Carolina, BUT!...........

That sounds like the best plan! Great to have an RV so you have all the amenities.

Good luck and safety, hopefully you are going far enough away in case the storm takes a more westerly track.

Both of you be safe. How far are you going? I can't imagine what the evacuation routes are going to look like.

It's sunny and 75 here in California, come on over! Don't feel bad if you bring the rain with you, we could use it! Although, our brilliant politicians in this state would just let it run out to the ocean...

Safe travels! I hope your home stays safe!

Made it to where we wanted. Close to daughter, out of harm's way. Owners held a spot for us, though only W&E. No complaints, glad to get it! Campground overflowing, Interstate slow, and stations running out of gas.New, great WiFi! DW and dogs asleep. For hotel or campground now you have to go to NC! Very glad our Gov Haley gave us a jump start yesterday.
