What is the switch on the draw bar used for?

I just purchased a 2013 Slingshot. Can anyone tell me the function of the switch that's mounted on the towbar? I have attached a photo. It's a grey box with a red off/on switch.

without seeing where the wires are coming from...I am going to guess its a battery cutoff switch. Both boxes in the photo are not original to the unit. At least not to my knowledge.

Previous owner must have installed a battery cut-off switch. It's a good thing.

It sure would be simple to check it to see if it's a battery cut off.
