Yes I had the same problem with our swintech slide. The wire going into the motor broke. The new motors have had the wiring upgraded where it attaches. I carry 2 spares now just in case

Are the motors accessible from the inside now? Thinking that what my service guy told me. On ours you can disengage the drive, but the slide has to be removed to change the motor.

On ours you can get to the screw on. The motor on the outside under the wiper and then disengage the motor. If the slide is out you can either take off for the trim on the inside to access or manually push the slide in enough to get the motor out from the inside

and many more videos on this slide system. The motors can be replaced without removing slide.

Having the Schwintech slide system on our 2013 CR ST 32 RL 5er, I've had the same problem you are experiencing with both our main slide and kitchen slide. I went on line and found a Youtube video to resetting the slide controller. I've had to do this several times now, about the process is simple to do. A reset solves the slide problem and the slide behaves normal again.

The trick is finding out where CR hid the controller box. LOL

It took me a while to locate to locate where the 3 controllers were on our Sunset Trail. The two controllers for the kitchen slide and main slide are located inside a cabinet, behind a false panel adjacent to the fridge. The bedroom slide is located behind a false panel next to the bed. Just carry a square drive tool bit in your RV tool kit if you need to access the controllers.
