YeeHaw. We now have both A/C duct channels working. Only one side since we bought it. Its cold in here now. Removed the rear A/C roof early this morning. Found a unsealed ducting box. A center brace that should be solid across. Not a huge gap. Looks like it was recycling the cold with the return air. Plus gaps all over the rest of the box. I sealed up every little gap with foil tape. Its working like it should now. I forgot to take a pic of the finished project. Opps.

Gary, I am glad you got it working as it should be but it is a shame you are having to repair issues that should have never left the plant. I am beginning to think Crossroads does not have a Q/C department anymore.

I was amazed at the amount sawdust that blew out of the duct work. My wife said OMG....lol...get the vacuum.

A BIG X2 on that one.
As far as QC-----a lot of us have figured that left the plant alooong time ago. Kind of like a case of the diarrhea.

I have heard through a certain grapevine they have been having a large turnover in workforce. That would explain a lot.

So nice to finally have A/C that doesn't go up in temp along with the outside temp. Staying right at 74° all morning. Outside temp 94°as I type.

Wow, what else can be said. Glad you finally rooted out the problem. I was concerned that the issue would require pulling down ceiling panels. Pulling the AC off the roof was the "easier" fix. Be sure to send the bill for your repairs. Don't forget the hours of labor.

Too cold in the bathroom now. . Upgraded to a JR vent. Now can close it off 90%.

Now a small problem. We removed all the ceiling A/C vent covers. Then removed the little flaps on the vent covers. Reinstalled the vent covers. We are loosing a fair amount of cold air flow. Removed vent covers again. Good cold air flow. Kinda like back pressure. I don't think those air ducts are sealed at all. Leaving vent covers off. So there goes the nice looking ceiling...come on Crossroads..

I haven't had time to check our duct work any more. I have found it cools better with the LR quick cool dump open. Need a periscope, but I'm thinking I may try sticking the IPhone up in the duct and shooting a few pictures.

I hate to say it but it look's like a bunch of the Rushmore's were built by the same bunch that built our Paradise Pointe in 07. One thing after another......

Maybe one of those telescoping mirrors and a flashlight?

The method Lloyd describes is how I found out where all our vent/duct work leaks were.

That needs to be repaired before it gets any worse. I know Crossroads has had a big workforce turnover but come on and hire some Q/C people!!!!

I added a bathroom ac vent, and to do this I removed the last register in the run so I could access the duct. I could reach in and feel the blocking in the end was present. Felt like duct tape??.
If you could check this at the end of all your runs ut might help?

Our Jefferson is so nice and cool now. My girls Ruby & Jade had to put on their fur coats. [:
