Flatbed pros and cons

I am needing some honest opinions here from those who have had a little knowledge on this.
I am a full time RV'er now and currently have a 2016 Ram 2500 diesel with a crew cab and 6.5' bed. I am needing a better way to haul my tools I need for my work (I do some mobile RV Tech Work along the way). I am looking at an aluminum bed due to the weight issue, fully skirted with underbed boxes built in plus a couple boxes mounted behind the cab. $6,000 mounted and ready to go. Is it worth the bucks?
Now for the next question. This bed that i am considering has a B&W gooseneck ball built in and I know I could get a B&W hitch for it, but I am considering the gooseneck conversion to save even more space. I know this could ruin any warranty but there is no warranty left anyway.

That seems pretty steep for a flat bed. I can’t say much more about them other than they have their place.

If you must use a goose neck adapter use a Reese goose box or a Anderson Ultimate hitch. Any others are going to stress the rv frame any will cause a lot of chucking.
