I was bragging on the Norcold double door fridge, and low and behold, looks like the flap heater is shorted! The contact in the fridge is hotttt....trying to melt the fridge liner. I couldn't find a good schematic online, so I called my RV service man. He says, "turn the flap heater off". Flap? What flap? It ain't got a switch! So, I put electrical tape over the contact. Issue solved until he can work it into his busy schedule.

If I were you I would not wait for your guy to fit me into his schedule....Anything that is overheating, or shorting, could cause a fire...I would get someone to at least disarm that flap heater until it can be fixed...

I unplugged the heaters today, even tho the tape was doing the trick.
