Pentek Water Filter- Replacement Filter

Time to replace our water filter. Could someone please tell me where to purchase a replacement filter for our Pentek Water Filter? Also, there's no model number anywhere on it.

Thanks!

Should be a standard 10" filter replacement. Everywhere sells them and it can be one branded by Camco, etc. See link below to see the housings for comparison. There are lots of filters available at pretty much every RV store or WalMart that will work. It would be either a standard 10" or standard 20" filter.

It should be a standard size. Hope that helps.

Thanks WildWildWest, Amazon carries them also. I need the carbon 10" filter and those aren't available in the Walmarts, Ace Hardware etc... stores.

Not sure how to take apart. Does the blue cover unscrew from the base?

We changed our filter and still have a sulfer type smell when we first turn on the cold water. After running it for a bit, the smell dissipates. This has been happening for the past couple of weeks. We thought it was the filter. It doesn't seem to be. We have talked to both of our neighbors, they're on the same water line, and have checked the water several places in the RV park. It seems to only be happening to us. This is kind of scary. What could possibly cause this? Is it safe? I am going to take in a water sample this week to make sure. Our warranty will expire next month and if it is something within the unit, we need to figure it out soon.

Thanks for your wisdom and advice!

This may help if your water heater has an anode rod.

What about running a water hose from your neighbors?

Are you hooked to city water, or is it from your tank? Many places, like eastern WV (especially near White Sulphur Springs), have sulfur in their water source.

I don't think your question got answered, yes, the bottom end or canister just unscrews from the top portion where the water lines enter if you have one like this. It has a plastic wrench to help unscrew it.

Thanks WildWild West... I had the plastic wrench and had asked both Crossroads and my dealer what it was for and nobody could answer. Now I know thanks to you and changed the filter with no problems... Thanks

Thanks for the great advice. We will try and see what happens. Also after talking to our service provider back home, we are going to do a full system flush Frid with a product called Spring Fresh. Does anyone have any experience with it? Driving an hour one way tomorrow to a Camping World to purchase it.
