pilot lite

The pilot lite in my suburban oven want stay lit. I have replaced the valve manifold and the pilot lite. The only thing I have not replaced is the thermo coupler which is on order. This was all recommended by the dealer. Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas. The stove has been used about three times.

If you use the oven to store pans etc, then the thermocouple may have got bent .The flame would light but not stay lit cause the flame would not be touching it. maybe?

I sometimes have to hold the flame from a lighter under the "lighting point" for what seems like couple minutes before I notice the pilot finally remains on. It is quite awkward lighting it, you almost have to be a contortionist to get in there. I have my wife hold down the stove button, while I'm sprawled out on floor with a lighter trying to light the pilot. Sure would be nice if it were as easy as turning on water heater with a switch!
