Rushmore 34SB 2012
Is there anyone who still owns a similar unit?
We have owned a 34SB 2012 it for 3 years and we have had to visit our dealer at least twice per year since. Always on our way South and on our way back.
So far the fridge, the front and rear caps have been changed. Had multiple problems with the electrical: shorts, light fixtures screwed through live wires, rewiring of the stereo system. Every water connections had to be tightened as they were loose and leaking,
We just returned from Florida with the appliances slide sticking out a few inches, a leaking skylight in the washroom (it has started to crack and we used 3 lap sealant tubes to complete the trip), a leak around the bedroom slide, and two of our three slide awnings brackets bending towards the slide. The brackets holding the tracks/hydraulic cylinder to the slide are bent out of shape and preventing the slide from closing properly. We also discovered that the 2x3s and the plywood (under the mattress) were getting black close to the exterior wall. The dining room back wall slide is delaminating and will need to be changed.
The technician at our dealer indicated that all these problems can be fixed but I need to leave the unit at the shop for 4 to 8 weeks. Hopefully, the extended warranty can cover some of these costs.
Am I the only one who is having problems with the 34SB? I am seriously questioning if we should keep the unit much longer.
Regards
Martin
