I am trying to find any onlinereviews for the fireplace they're installing in the2014 Rushmore models. Does anyone know who makes the Tru Vision electric fireplace? Has anyone had any problems with theirs? Does it throw out good heat on those cold evenings andcool mornings? Thanks!

We have had our 2013 Washington Rushmore for 60 days, using fireplace quite frequently. Warms the cabin nicely but it has developed some strange noises. I well research and report back how the warranty goes and how customer service handles my issue.

They are for ambient heat to take off the chill not really going to handle 17 degrees.

I contacted TruVision and told them my problem. Two days later I received a new blower motor assembly.
Thanks TruVision. How did you do that so quickly?

Do you mean the 2014 Lincoln Rushmore was replaced, or, the fire place was replaced?

We were in PA in Nov. It hit a low of 17 at night. We turned the fireplace on high, set a small fan on the front couch to direct the heat throughout the coach. We also had a small rotating heater on the floor in the kitchen and set the furnace to 60 degrees. We were toasty warm every night. We still went through the propane, but not as much. The underbelly stayed above freezing. We also used a dehumidifier in those temps to balance the humidity. On a side note, the last week we were there the park shut the water off and we used our fresh water tank. We are happy to report not one problem! It worked very well in those cold temps! Another side note- We really are not happy with the small propane tanks in our unit. We had the larger ones in our previous unit.

Have you had any problems with fresh water tank auto filling from city water supply?
Ours kept filling to overflowing then froze up swelling up tank to the point of bursting.

Not sure if ya'll are aware that the Rushmore's were not built to be 4 season coaches so the insulation is not suitable for real cold areas.....when our underbelly was opened, there was no insulation underneath and none around the tanks.

Wow Snommis! I am really surprised to hear that after getting through those PA temps! (Where's that "Dislike" button??) Makes it pretty tough to do anything about it now. Is blow in insulation even an option? Thoughts anyone?
