How do you get to the spare?

We just picked up our Elevation Homestead this weekend. I realized after we got home that I forgot to have them drop the spare so I could see how the rack works. I got under there yesterday and it looks like there's a funky female hex head on the rack. Does anyone know what that is? Has anyone had to drop their spare? What tool did you use?

We learned the hard way on our last RV 12 years ago that the manufacturers don't include a lug wrench. They don't expect you to change your own flats. I swung too wide on a road out in the desert and punctured a sidewall. I had to drive 45 minutes into town to buy a lug wrench. Lesson learned.

No such tool. I asked for one, but they said the only way to manually deploy or retract the slides was an Allen wrench.
