toyhauler

Ran across this one when we were up north hunting this fall. I thought it was something the guy fabricated himself, but it was actually factory built about 10 years ago by Fteetwood.
I didn't get a pic with the ATV's loaded, but he can haul three. Heavy tho. He told me he scales around 17,000# when loaded.

17k !!!
he best have a horse of a tow vehicle (and hitch and tires!!!)

Have seen those with a platform out front, but never one with it out back...
Like it out back a lot better, - their own patio deck and looks like the sides flip up for railings ?

but I couldn't use it - door is too narrow for me

Yes, the railings flipped up.

What better incentive could a guy ask for?

I've seen them with the toys in front many times, but never in the rear. The rear loading platform is a much better design. The front platforms put all the weight on the tongue and you really can't carry that many bikes (safely).

I'm guessing he had another bike or two in the bed of the truck too? Or maybe the truck was loaded with firewood? Something heavy like that.

Wow! 17k & only a pop up!! Should have a dually, but obviously not from the picture. My Redwood 5er has all the comforts of home & not quite 17k, but I can't take it where he goes.

Not buying the 17,000# line. 3 ATV's would at max be 1800#. That pop up can't make up the rest. Sounds like a good fish story around campfire with him though...

That leaves 10,000# for his trailer.
If it was suppose to weigh 6,600 dry from the factory.
Add the 1800# for three ATV's
He had a water tank underneath, two LP tanks, batteries. The whole front area in front of the popup was a large tool box. No idea what all was in there either, other then the side that was next to me was stacked full of 2in. scrap lumber. They burned two nights on it and never emptied it. There is an AC unit on top. Looks like a small fridge and freezer he brought out and set on the back deck. Then all the adult beverages you could/would stack in there. Plus food, clothes, etc. He had a 7 gal. water jug sitting on the back. Then you have to figure he more then likely carried a certain amount of gas with for the ATV's.
If you start adding all that up, it's very possible to reach that weight.

I just thought it was a unique out fit and wanted to share it with everyone.

Didnt even think about it that way Lloyd. He could have another wheeler in his truck too so a combined weight could reach that perspective for sure.

I thought you meant the trailer alone weighed 17,000. I don't think my rig weighs that much.

There was one like that at WDW last winter with a hardside camper (not sure who made it). It really looked like they took a flatbed and then set a camper on it without axles. At any rate, loaded it had the camper (maybe 22' or so), bicycles, golf cart, grill, covered fire pit, and some other stuff. It was all hooked on a big (450 or 4500) duallly.
