211rd first real test

Outside of using at at a local park for the weekend we had yet to really test our 2017 211rd. Just returned from four nights in the Davis mountains of West Texas. My preferred stomping grounds.
Overall we are happy with the compact camper. Having a 7 year old granddaughter with us pushed the comfortable occupancy.
Thought we had a leak in the bath area. Ends up water was coming off the feed to the shower head onto the top off the tub and then on the floor. Will be adding one of those lips on the tub top and some caulk to hopefully address that issue.
Second issue occurred on our return. The rubber cover for the seals or channels came out on both sides of the front. It runs full length of the camper on both sides. Called dealer. Would have to leave it with them for a month while they take pictures, contact crossroads for approval, get the parts and do the work. Balderdash. Will see if I can find that channel cover and do it myself. Did not really expect much from exploreUSA rv.

There are different widths of this stuff...maybe wrong width on it or they stretched it when installing?Or to slack?

When that trim is warm it's like a noodle, when it's cold you'd swear it would break if bent. You can probably reuse that, just put a dab of adhesive every so often to hold it in place.

I found some of the trim online. Have to head to storage and measure width.
When I reinstall the trim I will be using some adhesive or sealant. I did forget the best update...swapping out the the mattress. That would have been a miserable trip with the factory unit.

Well I bought my 211rd last August and very pleased with it It is my first and I would guess be my only TT. I was a backpacker and tent camper for most all my life. Got tired of camping without AC for one. This is just so pleasant.

Oh yeah. I cannot do many of the things I used to do but I love the outdoors. I am not longer willing to sweat it out in a tent any more.

Well replaced the trim inserts this afternoon. Easy job. Made a mistake estimating material. Thought the trim ran the full length. Today learned the trim covers only the front and rear sections. So got lots of spare insert material. I used some clear adhesive/sealant lightly down the full length of the channels.
Realized one other annoyance. Don't recall the air conditioning being so dang loud.

We are interested to head what happened with the fix in the shower. Did you get the "lips" thing. Did it work? What brand/model product did you get? Pictures?

We found the same issue with our 211. Guessing that we also could have slightly adjusted our leveling to fix this issue as well?

Thanks,
Les in Wentzville, MO

Looked around a bit an never found what I wanted. We don't do much/any summer camping, so no rush. I will pick up on of those "corner" pieces and try it.
Our camper was pretty darn level, but I am sure level would impact the water flow. Even though I am not a "big" guy, the shower is no fun and when convenient will opt for the camp ground showers.

I had the same issue with a Thor Summit TT. I got some white shower caulk and built up a bead of it. Was only running off the corner of tub at the shower head side. Worked well
