We took our Z1301BH out for the first time this weekend and noticed that the entry door rubs on the awning even when I have the awning as far up as it can go. My old camper, I traded in had a little roller attached to the upper corner of the door to keep from rubbing a hole in the awning. Do I need to add a awning roller to the door or is the radius entry door enough to protect the awning. I didn't think to open the door when we pulled out the awning on the walk though.

Hey there JNP, the awning does slightly touch on my 301BH as well - except for the highest couple of settings on the awning. I personally don't think the door will hurt the awning due to the radius door and screen door.

My past campers had the wheel, but the door was squared off.

JNP,
Welcome to the forum and as was stated previously mine also rubs slightly but I believe that is the whole reason behind the rounded corners. The DW thought is was a defect LOL...anyway enjoy your new unit, enjoy this forum and enjoy your camping time

We have the 271BH and even when I raise the awning to the highest position it still rubs just a bit. We noticed it as well and wondered whether it would eventually be a problem.

Yeah, we have the ZT26BL and ours rubs too. DH has been worried about it. We have been contemplating getting one of those awning roller clamps.

Thanks for your responses. I'll keep an eye on the awning for signs of wear. All in all my first camping trip was great. Going to have to get use to the differences from my old 97 Coachman Catalina to my new Z-1. I'm loving all the extra storage compartment room but not use to how high the Z-1 sits. I need to pack some big blocks for the stabilizer jacks.

Yeah, we cut up a 6x6 (I think that is the size DH got) into 12 inch sections. Stuck a handle on each one and put 2 of them undereach stab jack. We put one under the tongue also.

I bought the plastic pads and used those under the stab jacks and the whole trailer is a rocking....as a newbee I learned that you need solid wood or concrete to use those jacks....
