I'm curious to know if I put two deep cycle batteries together and a high end inverter would I have enough juice to run the A/C for at least a little while.... I may experiment with this using of course two separate batteries on outside by the shore cord access to see.

No,
Not by a long shot.
I am not sure, but an inverter driven by a vehicles electric system won't even be enough.
It takes from 2000-4000 watts to start a AC unit. (rough numbers) Usually anything with an electric motor is going to need an additional 2-3 times the wattage that it requires to run the motor just to start it up.
A lot of basic inverters run around the 300 watt range, enough for a small tv, computer perhaps, etc...
Larger units run around 1000 watts and will run a coffee maker, skill saw, etc....

Hi, Kurt has set you straight, you will not be able to do that. Two batteries and inverter are a great adds. They will enhance your ability to Dry Camp but not with AC.

Yeah, after I sent that post I ran the numbers myself and then had that sinking feeling of embarrassment for posting it....I should have known better.

Ken,
The only reason I know is I looked up the info a couple years ago since I wondered myself how much I could run off an inverter.....
And last year I spent a lot of time looking into generators and what they will, or in some cases will not, run.
This forum is great for getting answers.
