Replacing Dining Table
We are looking into replacing the dining table in our Crossroads 291RL Z-1 TT. We will be putting in residential table and chairs. Our issue is how to get back the storage we will lose when taking out the seating. We are limited in storage in this TT and have not done this yet because I don't want to lose the storage.
Any ideas?

For years, we carried two large, heavy duty black plastic boxes (Lowes) in the back of the pickup. When we unpacked, we moved them to the patio and used them as seats. We now use an in-bed tool box for the same purpose.

Do you use the dining setup for extra sleeping? Do you use the sofa for extra sleeping? If you need neither for sleeping, then you could remove both. I built my own sofa with storage and in fact moved the sofa from the slideout to the rear of the trailer and put the chairs where the sofa had been. My sofa has two storage areas 30x36x15 under the seat cushions, two 6x36x12 areas behind the back cushions and two 10x30x15 areas under the "end tables". Much more storage than what you have now. We had a local auto upholstery shop cut foam to size and sew up the fabric covers.
The sofa has to be built in 2 pieces to fit thru the door, I had to make mine in 3 pieces to fit it past slideout trim from both slideouts. You would have to remove the center rear table, and the water pump is probably located there.
You can see some pics in the link in my signature under "Cruiser mods"

We use the sofa for sleeping when the grandkids are with us. We thought about moving the sofa but the water pump and some plumbing is against the rear wall and would be in the way.
We are looking at adding additional overhead storage in the bedroom.

What about putting a bench with storage under the window with chairs on the opposite?

I pulled up the picture and my wife and I were looking and suddenly saw it. Take your idea, if it's what we are thinking, is to take one of the bench seats and turn it under the window and put a table and two chairs in front of it.

Yes, that is what I meant. Although not sure the original bench would come apart and go back together under the window. May be easier just to build one with either a lift top under the seat, or cabinet doors in the front.
Being in the slide, you have to be careful with weight and going through the floor with screws.
We have four full size chairs. We leave two at home and make due with camp chairs if we have company. Looking for some fancy folding chairs. Some of the more luxurious coaches have two full size chairs and two folding chairs with matching upholstery.

I'm actually quite good at reusing wood. But the table we are looking at is significantly lighter than the original table in there now. So I think we will lose some weight. I will make some modifications to the bench but going to try and reuse the seat and back as well.

What about keeping one bench and swapping the table and adding two chairs.

Picture above works well but if you want a different look also, definitely build a nice bench seat under the window and it would work great. You can even add a back which would change the look. I'm sure there is no use trying to reuse what is there as they never come apart well if at all to relocate.
We had the table and chairs in ours and my wife always sat in the walkway watching tv and when I needed to get in the rear I always got that nasty look so I took care of that by tossing the table and chairs out the door and building a center island.

I had built a window seat in the house a few years ago. I think I'm going to do the same here. And add a seat back as well. But still have two traditional chairs on either side of the table.

Steve,
I like the island. But we don't have the room for it. Although I'm pretty resourceful and could make something work. But I think we are going to just do with a table and chairs with no window seat. Storage won't be a big deal. We decided to use separate storage boxes/bins that will sit in the bed of the truck and we just move them when we setup. The extra effort isn't much and not a big deal.
