TT Cover

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good fitting TT cover for a 271bh? Do universal covers work with these trailers aerodynamic design? Any insight would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

You can find more posts on this this, but both my dealer and a call to Crossroads warns against covers. Customer service told me they tend to do more harm than good.

For one, even the best ones tend to hold in moisture (not good) and most often come loose in bad weather and bull-whip the corners and sides.

Covers are not recommended for most trailers due to trapped moisture and rubbing from the wind - even ones they say that breathe. Especially in areas that receive snowfall. You are better to get an AC cover for storage to protect it and also tire covers. Even the roof membrane is not recommended to be covered. I can see why people want to use them on extreme heat areas like AZ, NM and TX to protect from the sun, but I've never read anything good about using covers.

Plop down the cash for indoor winter storage. One year will cost about the same as a winter cover. Your winter cover will only last about 3 years.

Check county fairgrounds. By me they offer indoor storage in their barns for around 300 bucks all winter. Only drawback is no in and out privileges.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Living in SE NC I'm not too terribly worried about the winter issues as I'm worried about heat/sun/hurricane damage from our hot summers and my proximity to the coast. I'm trying to convince the wife to let me put up a metal building to park it under but until I can get her onboard with that, I am probably just going to get an A/C cover and vent covers for it.

If I ever manage to buy a house I can park my TT at, I will definitely be going with the carport option.

Or a pole building. Up here it would be around $10,000 for a 24 x 40' one.

A balmy 65 degrees at all times supplied by radiant floor heat from a high efficiency boiler and all slides can be opened while in storage and it has it's own dedicated electricity hookup and water hookup if required. In a totally rodent free / snow free environment. It is spoiled.

My wife keeps saying she's going to make me live in it in our shop if I tick her off..... I'm trying to find the downside to this!!
