Z-1 252TD deck question

Just curious. How much have people put on the deck? I see on here where people have put sxs on them. That seems to be alot of weight on the tounge. Has anyone done a weight check with that much weight on the deck? Thanks for any info.

I don't think he carries all of them at the same time tho.

I never say never when it comes to quad owners. Those guys can get pretty creative. I've seen them stood up on end and stacked on top of each other. Nothing surprises me anymore. When the ramps come down at camp, it's glorious to see the wads of gear that come out of the toy haulers.

Maybe he can clarify though.

Well, I do have pictures of 2 Raptors on end and my dirt bike next to them, all in the bed of my truck. Straps galore. That's when all I had was my pop up. With this rig I stick to Raptor 700 next to camper portion and Raptor 350 towards the front. Generator goes there sometimes too. Then another Raptor 700 in bed of truck along with dirt bike if I get a hankering for it. I didn't open that link from above but adding water, at least on my rig, lightened up the tongue weight. You could get away with 1 propane tank as well for a weekend and lighten it up a bit more.

Thanks for the replies. With my first TV 2005 z71 suburban factory tow package, 4.10 gears, Hayden bully Trans cooler and air bags. The most I have had on deck was my gas ego, fire wood and 5 gallons gas. Never put it on scale. Pulled fine Trans would get a little warm that was my worst fear. Now I have 2015 2500 HD 6.0 gasser with class vehicle curt hitch. Getting too old for dirt bikes was contemplating sxs. That's why I asked the question. The specs on the hitch say 2400 lbs on tongue with we hitch, but I'm going to do more research on that.

Hi. Can anyone give me some input on the total weight capacity of the Deck when the Camper is stationed and not moving. The reason being that I would like to built a shed on the deck .

If you are not planning on towing with said shed on it, I would build some solid support under the beams in 4 places in the front deck area and not worry about it. If less than 1000 lbs I would not worry about it. If I recall, on the drivers side of the unit it will have labels stating weight for the deck. Mine is in storage, can look later today. Couldn't find anything in the manuals I had on hand doing a quick glance through them.

Thank you for the info. I bought mine second hand and was repainted so cannot see the label for maximum weight capacity on deck.
Having said so. Yes putting some concrete bricks below would definitely make it worth a good load as I intend to use this area as a 2nd bedroom while camping . Like a tiny home style.

I might have to go back tomorrow to see where the rating is, perhaps on the deck itself. On my 2015 Z218TD front deck style the GVWR is 7600 lbs. cargo capacity of 2028 lbs. I am pretty sure I seen a rated deck capacity somewhere on the unit. Will get back with more findings...

I tow with close to 1000 lbs on the deck itself for what it's worth.
